Handshake Economics: How Corporate Transformations and
International MOUs Are Reshaping India's Global Economic Position

Abstract
The global economy is increasingly
influenced by strategic corporate developments and international Memoranda of
Understanding (MOUs). During 2025–2026, India witnessed major corporate events
including the proposed IPO of Jio Platforms, renewable energy acquisitions,
defense collaborations, and infrastructure investments. Simultaneously, India
expanded its international engagement through trade agreements, digital
governance partnerships, technology collaborations, and migration agreements.
This study analyzes the relationship between corporate developments and
international MOUs and evaluates their impact on economic growth, trade
competitiveness, technological advancement, and geopolitical influence.
Keywords: Corporate Strategy, MOUs, Trade Agreements, Digital
Diplomacy, FDI, International Business, India-US Relations, Economic Growth.
1. Introduction
Modern economic growth is
increasingly driven by strategic partnerships rather than isolated business
operations. Corporations seek international collaborations to access markets,
technology, and capital, while governments use MOUs and FTAs to create
favorable business ecosystems.
India's emergence as a global economic
power is reflected through:
- Large-scale IPO activity.
- Expansion of digital public infrastructure.
- Defense manufacturing collaborations.
- Renewable energy investments.
- Bilateral and multilateral trade agreements.
This study investigates how corporate
developments and international MOUs jointly contribute to India's strategic
economic transformation.
2. Statement of the Problem
Despite rapid growth in corporate
investments and international agreements, limited research has examined how
these developments collectively influence:
- Economic competitiveness.
- Trade expansion.
- Technology transfer.
- Employment generation.
- Strategic autonomy.
3. Research Objectives
- To analyze major corporate developments in India and
the USA.
- To study important MOUs signed between India and
foreign countries.
- To evaluate the economic and strategic implications of
these agreements.
- To compare corporate and diplomatic strategies of India
and America.
- To propose a framework linking corporate growth with
international cooperation.
